How to Journal Consistently
It seems like everyone is journaling—and with no shortage of options out there (including our own, available here), why wouldn’t we be?
But one of the hardest parts of journaling is staying consistent. It’s easy to imagine yourself journaling every morning as part of your routine. After all, it only takes a few minutes. But if you’re not using the right journal for your unique goals, it’s going to be harder to stick with—and you don’t want it to feel forced.
Finding the right journal depends entirely on you. What do you want it to look like? Feel like? Do you prefer something neutral, or are you drawn to color? Spiral-bound or paperback? Smooth or textured? Is it important that it looks aesthetic on your nightstand?
These things matter. Consistency is easier when your journal feels like an extension of you. Leave it somewhere visible—on your nightstand, desk, or coffee table—so it's a natural part of your day. Reminders can help, but nothing compares to being genuinely drawn to your journal. When it’s the right one, you won’t want to skip a day.
What’s right for you will evolve over time. Journaling isn’t one-size-fits-all—your needs can shift depending on your mindset, lifestyle, and current goals. To name a few, there are blank journals, self-guided journals, and journals that integrate day planning so you can keep everything in one place.
Your personal habits and tendencies, like perfectionism or a busy mind, play a big role in choosing the journal that will support you best. It’s a process—one that involves some trial and error. Be patient and open to adjusting your practice as you grow. The perfect journal is the one that meets you where you are and helps you show up for yourself, day after day.
The Conscious Wellness Club began as a crowdfunded campaign, inspired by the desire to create a journal that didn’t exist—one that wasn’t too long, offered space for meaningful reflection, and also integrated daily planning. It’s a four-month journal with daily check-ins rooted in the eight dimensions of wellness, paired with an intentional planner designed to help you organize your life and support your well-being at the same time. The Conscious Wellness Club Journal requires you to be selfish—in a good way. To look inward. To kickstart, restart, or deepen your wellness journey. It gets personal, because surface-level doesn’t create growth. It's neutral, aesthetic, compact, and spiral-bound so you can fold it flat and write comfortably.
Whether our journal is right for you or not, the right journal is out there. And when you find it, consistency won’t feel like a chore—it’ll feel like coming home to yourself.
